The new generation of the Fendt 1100 Vario MT tracked tractor comes with a revised cab with FendtONE driver's workstation, new lighting concept and a self-cleaning cab air filter.

The transmission has been upgraded to accommodate the higher maximum engine power. The series now covers the performance segment from 521 to 680 hp. This means that the top model remains the most powerful tracked tractor with a stepless transmission on the market. The tracks distribute weight evenly, thus lowering the ground pressure and improving traction. This protects the soil and is crucial for the success of farms.

New features

New cab for more light and comfort

With the new generation, a new LED lighting concept and the FendtONE driver's workstation increase visibility and comfort during field work. There are two choices for LED light and with both of these, the lights and beacons are securely mounted in the cab roof.
FendtONE driver's workstation expands Smart Farming functions
The new cab is equipped with the FendtONE driver's workstation. Drivers of the track tractor use the same range of functions as in the wheeled tractor so the change between both machine types is more comfortable. An additional terminal in the cab roof is optionally available, and as with Fendt wheeled tractors, numerous Smart Farming features are available.
Optional Fendt TI Headland management makes it easier to work with the FendtGuide guidance system by automatically controlling the turning manoeuvres of the tracked tractor and implement.

Dust extraction: Clean air in dusty conditions

The Fendt 1100 Vario MT tracked tractor can optionally be equipped with a reversible fan, which automatically cleans the radiator grille and the radiator package. In addition, the standard configuration includes a passive dust extraction system for the engine filter and an optional passive cleaning of the cab air filter.

Well suspended with SmartRide

The new generation with the new cab still features the proven SmartRide suspension which is connected to the chassis of the tracked tractor and both track drives can move independently. Together with the bogie suspension of the tracks’ rollers, permanent ground contact with clean contour adjustment is ensured. SmartRide+ self-levelling is also optionally available and optimises the vehicle position in the interaction between tractor and implement.

Soil protection via proven track design

As usual, the drive of the Fendt 1100 Vario MT consists of a drive wheel at the rear, the guide wheel at the front and two bogies with four castors each. A track belt made of durable rubber components from Michelin encloses the rollers. It adapts optimally to the ground profile and is designed for a long service life. The large wrap protects the track as it goes around, and also provides deep lugs, which improve grip.
The long wheelbase of the Fendt 1100 Vario MT ensures a large contact area for permanent traction and significantly reduces ground pressure.

Maintenance-free differential steering ensures a speed difference between the two tracks without active braking, and smooth running that protects the ground. For this purpose, the driver can either choose a large turning circle, or automate the turning process with Smart Farming options such as the headland management, Fendt TI Headland, with Fendt TI Auto and Fendt TI Turn Assistant.
In order to guide the implement precisely, saving effort, customers can choose between a hydraulically pivoting rear linkage and two pivoting Cat. 5 drawbars. The pivot moves the actual pivot point of the tractor closer to its natural pivot point resulting in a lower tractive force requirement when cornering.

Ballast options for the Fendt 1100 Vario MT

The Fendt 1100 Vario MT tracked tractor offers numerous possibilities for ballasting. These include front weights, ballast options on the chassis frame, on the guide wheel and on the drive wheels.

VarioDrive and Fendt iD ensure low fuel consumption

As with the previous generation, the Fendt VarioDrive drivetrain of the Fendt 1100 Vario MT series is composed of the Vario transmission and, depending on the model, different MAN 6-cylinder engines. A new, reinforced transmission generation is used, which accepts the higher maximum engine power of the top model. The special feature of VarioDrive is that both hydraulic motors act on the rear axle of tracked tractors.

High performance hydraulics

As with its predecessor, the Fendt 1100 Vario MT has high-performance hydraulics optionally with two load sensing pumps (220 l/min each) which supply two separate circuits.  

Maintenance-friendly design

Features such as dust extraction and passive filter cleaning contribute to easy maintenance. In addition, there are factors such as the lower number of moving parts compared to quadruple tracked tractors and good accessibility. Oil levels can be easily and quickly controlled via the sight glasses. An external compressed air connection is available for cleaning various parts if required. There are also external battery poles on the vehicle.
